Refunds and Cancellations
Last updated 11 September 2026
This page explains how bookings, cancellations, deposits and refunds work at Wigan Wetbelts. It sits alongside our Terms of Service and does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
1. Bookings
Dates you request online are requests, not confirmed bookings. We will contact you to agree a date. Your booking is confirmed once we have agreed that date with you.
2. Cancelling or rescheduling
- If you need to cancel or move your booking, please give us as much notice as you can, and at least 48 hours where possible.
- To cancel or reschedule, call us on 01942 800252 or email wiganwetbelts@gmail.com.
- There is no charge for cancelling or moving a booking as long as work has not started and vehicle specific parts have not been ordered.
3. Deposits
Most bookings do not require a deposit. Where a deposit is taken, it is refundable in full if you cancel with reasonable notice before we order parts for your vehicle. Once parts specific to your vehicle have been ordered, we may deduct any costs we cannot recover from the supplier, and refund the balance.
4. After work is completed
Our work is covered by a 12 month parts and labour warranty from the day you collect the vehicle. It covers defects in the parts we supplied and the work we carried out. If something is not right, tell us and we will put it right. The warranty does not cover unrelated faults, pre existing damage, wear items, or damage caused after collection.
5. Your consumer rights
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 our services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, and any parts we supply must be of satisfactory quality and as described. If they are not, you are entitled to a repeat performance or an appropriate price reduction. Nothing on this page or in our terms removes these rights.
6. How to raise an issue or request a refund
Contact us on 01942 800252 or wiganwetbelts@gmail.com. Tell us your name, vehicle and what the problem is, and we will respond promptly and agree the next steps with you.
7. Governing law
These arrangements are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
